Terms of Service:

Definitions

You/Your - The student who enrolls in the class, or the visitor to the website.
Tutor - Your optional designated tutor, child, teaching assistant, or other person who can help guide You through the training.
Access Period - The designated number of days, typically 120, as listed on the Course Description and Course Signup page at the time of purchase.
Pop Quizzes - Simulated phishing or other attempts that You have consented to receive.

Access Period

Once You have enrolled in an online course, You can revisit and review the training(s) as many times as You want within the designated Access Period (e.g. to allow You to review material with your tutor, or to reinforce upon yourself concepts that You may have missed).

Pop Quizzes

At the end of each training course is an online final exam, along with a consent to receive additional *simulated* threats ("Pop Quizzes"). Once You successfully passes the final exam, You will move on to the real test: how You handle simulated scams! Over the following month, You will receive several simulated threats (e.g. fake phishing emails, SMS texts, or social media invites, etc.) to test whether You have learned the course content. If You have designated a Tutor, Your Tutor will also be alerted in advance to the simulated test actions, and ultimately (typically within 3 business days) whether You fell victim to the simulated threat, giving Your Tutor the opportunity to re-educate or congratulate You as needed. If you do not have a Tutor, You will not receive the advance notice of the Pop Quizzes, but will receive the results of the test via email after the fact (typically within 3 business days).

Refunds

If You purchased a training that is never started within the allowed Access Period, You will be refunded the amount of the unstarted course purchase, minus a 20% service fee. Once the training for a particular course has started, there are no refunds.

Spam Filters

Simulated phishing emails will be sent from a legitimate domain 'ylimafymniart.com' (TrainMyFamily backwards) and should not be caught by anti spam engines. However, one of the reasons why we also alert Your Tutor in advance to the simulated action is that Your Tutor can use the opportunity to whitelist the domain in Your email, mark the email as Not Spam, or take other actions that will allow the Pop Quiz to proceed. TrainMyParents.com is not responsible for emails that end up in Spam or other email filters.

No Guarantee of Knowledge Retention

Our goal is to educate You and to prevent You from falling for online scams. However, taking the course (regardless of a passing or failing grade) is no guarantee that You or Your Tutor will not be caught in an online scam.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

OUR ENTIRE LIABILITY AND YOUR SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE REMEDY WILL NOT EXCEED THE LESSER OF (A) THE AGGREGATE OF FEES PAID TO TRAINMYPARENT.COM, OR (B) THE ACTUAL DAMAGES SUSTAINED BY YOU OR YOUR TUTOR

EXCLUSION OF DAMAGES

IN NO EVENT SHALL TRAINMYPARENTS.COM, ITS AFFILIATES, EMPLOYEES, PARTNERS, TUTORING ASSISTANTS, THIRD PARTY PROMOTERS, OR OTHER RELATED ENTITIES HAVE ANY LIABILITY TO YOU OR YOUR TUTOR FOR CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES (REGARDLESS OF THE FORM OF ACTION), INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO, MONETARY LOSS, LOSS OF DATA, DATA BREACHES, ONLINE SCAMS, OR OTHER DAMAGES, EVEN IF TRAINMYPARENTS.COM HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
